This album was released in 1979 by "The Sequence" an all-women hip-hop trio from South Carolina that consisted of Cheryl "Cheryl The Pearl" Cook, Gwendolyn "Blondie" Chisolm, and Angie "Angie B" Stone. The group consisted of high school friends who were noticed after bum-rushing a concert by the Sugarhill Gang and performing backstage for them and Sylvia Robinson, a singer and record producer.
